No. Steven Gray Basketball is not going away.
SGB will continue operating exactly as it always has — with the same training philosophy, the same coaching approach, and Steven leading all camps, clinics, teams, and trainings.
The name will now appear as Steven Gray Basketball Powered by MRAC, but the identity, leadership, and culture remain the same.
-
Yes. Steven will continue:
Leading all private training
Leading all group training
Running camps and clinics
Coaching SGB teams
In addition, Steven will now serve as Executive Director of Basketball Operations for Mount Rainier Athletic Club (MRAC), helping build and oversee basketball programming within the organization.
His day-to-day involvement with athletes does not change.

Partnering with MRAC allows SGB to grow within a larger, well-established athletic organization.
Mount Rainier Athletic Club began as Mount Rainier Football Club (MRFC) and has built a strong development model in youth sports. This partnership provides:
Administrative support and infrastructure
Expanded programming opportunities
A long-term pathway for athletes (rec to elite)
Greater impact within the local community
The partnership strengthens SGB — it does not replace it.

“Powered by MRAC” means SGB now has the backing, infrastructure, and long-term platform of a larger athletic organization.
It does not mean:
New coaches replacing Steven
A new training philosophy
A corporate takeover
Loss of the SGB identity
It means growth with support.
-
Over time, the goal is to build a complete basketball pathway within MRAC, including:
Recreational programs
Developmental leagues
Competitive teams
Elite AAU opportunities
The vision is to create space for athletes at every level while maintaining SGB’s development standards.
Growth will be intentional and phased.

Group trainings are flexible and designed to fit your schedule. When you purchase a training package, you receive 20 training sessions that can be used anytime within the valid date range for that package. Some weeks you may attend multiple trainings, and other weeks you may not attend any — you can sign up based on what works for your schedule.
Currently, training packages are only available to BLBA, Sting, SBA, and Valley players. The sign-up period for the current packages has ended and is no longer open.
Each group training normally counts as one hour = one training. If you sign up for 30-minute shooting or ball-handling sessions, you must register for two 30-minute sessions to equal one hour, which will count as one training from your package.
